Forest Biomes
Basically, a biome is a large geographical area of plant communities defined by climate.
By understanding the biomes of the world you can better understand how forests fit into the planet’s ecosystems. Just as forests supply us in the United States with wood products, water, recreation and more, the same is true around the world. But what is the condition of forests in other parts of the world?
Are those forests in better condition than ours, or are they in worse condition? Search for the answer to this question. Then ask your teachers why that might be. That will be a very enlightening exercise.
