The Leaf Machine
Leaves are the organs that make a tree able to capture the sun’s energy. Leaves come in all shapes, sizes and structures. Some trees have needle leaves, some have broadleaves and others have scale-like leaves. However, all leaves have chlorophyll that makes them able to convert water and carbon dioxide into sugars used by the tree for energy.
