• Arctic Cat - Manufactures snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, and generators

• Ariens - Manufacturers lawn and garden equipment and has a program for selecting the correct machine size i.e. lawnmower.

• Briggs and Stratton - Manufactures small engine and is a good resource for safety information and technical manuals.

• Grasshopper - Manufacturers lawnmowers, snow throwers, aerators, edgers and blowers and provides maintenance information.

• Harley-Davidson - Manufacturers motorcycles and engines.

• Homelite - Manufactures string trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws and provide information safety and yard maintenance.

• API (American Petroleum Institute) –  A trade association of the oil and gas industry. A member driven organization which is a major research institute providing a unified industry voice.

• ASABE – Professional society for engineering in agriculture, food and biological systems.

• Associated Landscape Contractors of America - This association provides for an exchange of business and technical ideas  and information for landscape contractors.

• Golf Course Superintendents Association of America - A professional organization for men and women who manage and maintain golf courses.

• The Lawn Institute - Provides lawn care tips and has a newsletter.

• Outdoor Power Equipment Institute - Provides information on yard care, mower maintenance, safety at their cyberlawn site.

• Professional Lawn Care Association of America - This is a trade association that promotes business management skills and profitability of it members’ businesses.

• Professional Lawn Care Network - The Professional Lawn Care Association of America and Association of Landscape Contractors of America joined together to form this network.

• SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) –  A non-profit educational and scientific organization dedicated to advancing mobility to better serve humanity.

• Four-stroke Combustion Engine - Site shows animation of the four stroke cycle including the pressure-volume diagrams.

• Four-stroke Internal Combustion Engine - Site shows an animation of the four stroke internal combustion engine.

• Howstuffworks - Provides a large variety of information. A search of small engines will provide many opportunities to find additional information.

• John Deere Kids - For younger learners in this project, the site provides a game on yard safety among other fun activities.

• The Otto Engine - Site shows an animation of the four strokes of an internal combustion engine.
