Getting Connected: Broadband Services a Key to a Vibrant Rural America
e-Business is stalled in rural areas for, despite the publicized gains in residential broadband access, the level of broadband services required to support rural business development lags far behind. The Telecommunications Act of 1994 fails to recognize the requirements for rural business development in a knowledge economy. This article points out the costs associated with the development of residential broadband access in rural America.
